Dear Nobleenigma,

Great piece. I enjoyed it tremendously. I'm pretty sure you will not have to fish for compliments for this one!

Thanks to everyone for the great comments - as a follow up I have to let you all know that the skinny fish passed away a day after I wrote that :-( but the other chap is very happy and fit and loves to nibble on my fingers when I feed him/her - I am very attached to little fatso and hope he/she has a long and uneventful life !!

"Less luggage, more comfort.Make travel a pleasure." I believe in this theory.I do not keep pets . I dont keep fish tank at home.It is paiful to see the death of fish by overeating or under.
Thanks for entertaining us with your story.

have you tried giving food when the slim ones come swimming on top.. it worked with mine. had the same problem with the 'slim' one i had, and then i would have patience and wait till it used to come on bit of surface and feed it. it worked very well. I had two and found them best low-maintenance pets and yes, very relaxing..also have noticed when you train your kids to 'respect' their new 'friends', they turn out to be the best pet-carers!  you just need to clean the tank once a week or sooner when the water is cloudy...train the kids! initially, reward them after they do it . invite their friends..have 'clean my fish's home' afternoon
this will change your world and if this doesn't work i would adopt your pets
